Health and Wellness
Intravenous therapy or IV drips are a method of administering fluids and essential nutrients into the body via the blood vessel for fast delivery and absorption. IV therapy is a very safe and effective way to provide optimal hydration whether for wellness maintenance or recovery from feeling run down, jet lag, light illness or hangover. The IV drip is administered by Nurse Jen with guidance from the medical director. Before any client receives IV therapy, a health history intake is completed and client is evaluated for candidacy of treatment.
To administer the IV drip, a thin plastic intravenous catheter is placed directly into your vein. The solution for infusion is prepared to specifically address you needs. Common ingredients include:
Saline: This is a solution of salt in water (0.9% Sodium Chloride AKA normal saline) and is the common type of fluid for IVs. A saline solution is great for dehydration and hangovers since sodium is a type of electrolyte.
Vitamins/electrolytes: The benefit of vitamins and electrolytes are essential, as they can give us a boost of energy, strengthen and much more.
Anti-oxidant: Glutathione delivers a powerful antioxidant which can improve immune function, ability to fight off disease, reduce inflammation, supports cellular function and detox the liver.
Anti-emetic(anti-nausea): The medicine Zofran (Ondansetron) is a FDA approved medication used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting.
The infusion can take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete. You may feel cold during or just after your infusion. During your infusion is your time to cuddle up with a blanket and relax. Positive results may be apparent right away for some ailments such as light sickness, jet lag or a hangover. In other cases, it might take repeat sessions to really feel a change.
$200 and up per infusion based on the IV solution recommended for you.
